Valeta Sutton is a native of Richmond, Virginia. She began her performance career via several plays and ballet recitals at the age of six. Valeta continued to do small performances through graduate school, which culminated in her first big break. She was a recurring extra in the Showtime comedy “Linc’s” alongside veteran’s such as Pam Grier, George Stanford Brown and Steve Williams.

Valeta’s opportunities increased after moving to Washington, D.C. She landed numerous lead roles on stage. Her momentum continued as she modeled, landed national print ads, garnering her the opportunity to move into the realm of film. Her film credits span government industrials, local and regional commercials and award-winning independent movies. After years in corporate America, Valeta took a leap of faith to begin her transition to New York City. This paid off by her landing roles in long running soap operas: including All My Children and Guiding Light.

Valeta has been trained by the best. The world renowned Bill Duke taught her to dig deeper to channel the character. The incomparable Vera Katz taught her stage presence. Valeta continues to improve her acting capabilities with the accomplished Martin Blank. She continues to build her on-screen acting muscles.

Life brought many changes, and she has adapted to them all. Yet, one thing stands true, whether it is on the stage or in front of the camera, Valeta is happiest when she is acting! She currently resides in Washington D.C. and is a member of SAG-AFTRA union. She can be contacted via…
